Advocate Children’s Hospital

In keeping with the spirit of their daughter Mya’s desire of giving back to the other patients, Antonio and Misti Tinajero of Miracles for Mya brought “Christmas in July” to oncology patients at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn by passing out toys and gift cards in honor of Mya’s birthday.

Miracles for Mya was founded by the Tinajero’s in memory of their daughter Mya, who at the age of 4 was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. After a 6 year battle with cancer, she passed away but her generosity of giving back to the other children with a cancer diagnosis lives on. Mya who was known for her smile, kindness, and bravery would have been 12 on July 10th.
